Things I love--Erin's version

So, I liked Amy's post and decided to copy her. I, like Amy, love the Yogurt Stop, Hunger Games Series, The Utes, and of course the World Cup. Here are a few other things I am loving.....
My amphipod water bottle. Little amphi has become my best friend when I run. It fits perfectly in my hand, holds my key, chapstick, phone and anything else small that I need when I run. Love it!

I have 2 new favorite songs. One Spanish song and one English. The Spanish song is called "Abrazame" by Camila. They are a Mexican soft rock band. I can play this song over and over again.

My other favorite is "One Day" by Matisyahu. He is a Hasidic Jewish musician from New York City and I love this song. I set is as the caller tune on my phone. You may have heard this song at the Olympics and they also played it a lot during the World Cup. It is fantastic. Thanks Matisyahu!

This isn't anything new, but I have to pay homage to my favorite sports writer, Rick Reilly. I started reading Rick's articles in Sport's Illustrated at work about 7 years ago. The guys in the office used to subscribe to Sport's Illustrated and I fell in love with his articles. Rick writes for ESPN now, but his articles are just as great as always. He has made me laugh and cry all in the same article. You are tender, Rick. Love you!

Tom's Shoes! For every pair of shoes you buy, Tom's donates a pair to a child in need. http://www.tomsshoes.com/

The shoes are so comfy and come in their regular sneaker, wrap boots and this summer they just introduced the wedge! Who doesn't love that? Thanks Toms!

Last, but not least, I am loving my art class right now! Here's a shout-out to my art teacher Annie Kennedy at the University of Utah. If you have a chance to take her class, you should. She is awesome!

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things...

Hello blog world! So Erin has very "subtly" been reminding me everyday how i need to get a post up so i guess it is my turn. I decided that since we are so new to this that i would do a post on some things I am loving right now and things I am looking forward to as a way of introducing myself. So here it goes... I will  start off first with...

Summer! It is one of my very favorite times of the year! I love the heat and all of the fun outdoor stuff that comes along with it like camping, sports, playing in the pool, going sun bathing, outdoor running, summer sunsets and the list goes on and on. I will be very sad when it is all over and we have to go back to the nasty cold weather :(

I know that the world cup is over and done but i must say that i thoroughly enjoyed it this year. I have always loved soccer but for some reason before this year i never really invested any of my time in watching the world cup which is a shame because come to find it is amazing! I'm very sad that it only comes every four years but i am looking forward to 2014!

Another reason to watch the world cup ;)

Crisiano Ronaldo

I am no movie critic but this Monday i had the day off of work and got the chance to go see the movie Inception with my lovely parents and let me just tell you it was amazing! It was so well done from the casting to the storyline to the music to the special effects, and so on and so forth. My dad kept raving about it after the show had ended so i asked if he thought it was as good as his all time favorite movie The Godfather and he could not answer me. If you know my dad then you know that is saying something. If you have not yet seen this movie then i  would highly recommend it. It will blow your mind!

There is nothing more to say about The Hunger Games Trilogy than the fact that it is absolutely amazing! I got finished with Catching Fire a couple of months ago and have been impatiently awaiting for the arrival of the third instalment Mockingjay. I can not wait til August 24th! It's not that far away right? :\

Another thing that I love about the summer time is frozen yogurt (not that i don't eat it all the other seasons ;) and the best place to get frozen yogurt is hands down The Yogurt Stop! My  friends Sarah and Whitnee recently got a basement apartment a couple minutes away from The Yogurt stop and it has made this summer heavenly! They have the best variety of flavors and i think they change them once a week. Some of my personal favorites are pomegranate, pumpkin, Oreo, tart, mounds, bubble gum, and many more that i can't think of right now. They also serve boba tea which is fabulous!

Not long ago my best friend Sarah introduced me to a song called Animal by the Neon Trees. I have loved the song ever since and listen to it all the time. About a week ago I found out that the band is actually based in Provo. Yahoo for local bands!

Last but most definitely not least FOOTBALL! I am always super excited for football season to start up but I've got to say after all the craziness of the NBA draft I am doubly (not a word I know) excited to have something else to hear about sports wise. It will be exciting and kind of sad i must say to watch the Utes play their last season as a part of the Mtn. West conference.  Here we come PAC 10 12! And i can't leave out my other favorite team even though i know I'm going to get a lot of crap for it. Go Giants!!!

Viva España!

I (Erin) have to give a shout-out to my World Cup-winning Spaniards! A week ago Spain won the World Cup. They had never won before and in fact had never even made it past the quarter finals before this World Cup. They are also the first team ever to win the World Cup after losing their first game.

I lived in Spain for a year and a half as a missionary, and it was actually in Spain that I gained my love for soccer--o sea, futbol. I had the opportunity to go to a Real Madrid game in 2000 when i lived there. It was a Eurocup match against Frankfurt, if I remember correctly. We sat on the 16th row and ate bocadillas and cheered with all the other crazy fans. It was a lot of fun and something I will never forget!

So....felicidades España! I can only imagine the parties that went on in Spain to celebrate. Madrid has been called "the city that never sleeps"  and I can attest to that!  I'm sure that the parties continued all week long and maybe are even still going on. What I would've given to have been back to celebrate with a country and people that I love and miss so much! Viva España!    http://gu.com/p/2tbeb

Testing 1, 2, 3, 4.......

Here we are world! You all knew this day would come. When our minds would combine and yours would explode! This is a blog of two of the funniest sisters you will ever meet....or so we think. We are basically a walking comedy act. But sometimes we like to sit, too! :)  We have been asked several times to write blogs on our own, but we thought that combining our thoughts into one blog was genius. So, the pressure is on...for us. We have been asked if we would include fashion into our blog...Renee this is mostly for you. This blog will probably be pretty random and include things that we both love...such as our family, church, sports, fashion, music, travel, food, etc, etc. Stay tuned.....
